Ellen Barkin is taking a stance against photo retouching. The 60 year-old actress chose to go au naturale in her latest photo shoot—refusing any form of retouching. In the series of black and white photos shot for beauty siteViolet Grey, Barkin looks beautiful while embracing the natural lines on her face—under-eye circles and all. She further explained her decision to go sans photo editing:
"I feel strongly about retouching. I looked at those pictures and I knew they expected like seven x's to come back on the bags under my eyes or the lines around my mouth or my neck but I thought we could do something special here. Those pictures with the dark circles under my eyes are exactly what I look like."
All about embracing aging and natural beauty, Barkin's new photoshoot and interview prove one thing: she certainly is "owning it."
